NEW YORK – Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney whose office is investigating former President Donald Trump, received a letter with a death threat and white powder; the FBI and NYPD are looking into it.
The unidentified chemical was found in the district attorney’s mail room at 80 Centre St, where a grand jury is hearing testimony against former president Trump.
Someone opened the mail after 1p.m. but was not exposed.
The white powder was in an envelope marked “Alvin,” and said The letter was addressed to Bragg and said, ““ALVIN: I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The letter comes in the wake of Trump’s warning on his social media website, “Truth Social,” on Friday of “potential death and destruction” if the DA indicts him.
