As the song goes, “Tis the season to be jolly.” I feel a better version should be “tis the season to be grateful.”

Who are the unsung heroes in your life this holiday season?

I am grateful for the mailman who smiles when he brings my mail.

I appreciate the delivery drivers who bring my amazon packages. I especially appreciate them around the holidays and for bringing the gifts I will gift my granddaughters.

I am eternally grateful for the people who wake up in the middle of the night so I can buy my groceries.

I am grateful to the overworked underpaid teachers who teach my granddaughters about the world.

I am grateful to the nurses and techs who worked long hours through Covid to care for my husband after his recent surgery.

I am grateful to our military serving abroad away from family for the holidays.

I am glad to take a moment this holiday season to reflect and be grateful for life’s blessings….

After all, Tis the season.
