(FWD) – During a ceremony where Capitol Police officers were bestowed Congressional Gold Medals to honor their defense of the Capitol on January 6, officers and their families were seen refusing to shake hands with Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.

The same officers who refused to greet the Republican leadership in the Capitol Rotunda, previously shook Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer’s hand.
